  1. I love your beautiful blog!! this looks like another fabulous recipe from you...I did not see the ingredient list for the crust? thank you for sharing your blog with us. ( :

  2. I am so apologetic..the new blogger makes things..not as pretty..I have to learn..the new ropes..

I am going to add the link instead of the recipe:) Will amend now..
    Thank you!

  3. Bonjour Monique
It has been so long since I have had time to browse my favourite blogs and I have just spent a wonderful time enjoying your past posts. I miss coming to you regularly but am so glad to see you are still posting your wonderful photos and beautiful recipes.

  4. I'm saving that tart recipe -- it looks so good!

    Hugs, Jody

  9. Gorgeous tart - I'm sure your daughter was so happy! You can never go wrong with chocolate :)

  10. May I have a fork, please? That tart looks soo good!! :D

Love your monochromatic collage . . . textures are wonderful!

    Love you sweet girlfriend! xoxo

  11. Hope you like it..
I liked the free form..and cracked top..and the pine nuts..made it different!
    Have a great day!

  12. I've missed so much while we were preparing to leave and then gone for our wonderful wedding week in Colorado! I've perused all of your posts that I missed and love your contribution to Fifi, the toys, the garden at Lucas school and your checkerboard watermelon salad :) Being the chocolate lover that I am, I know I would love your rustic tart!

Happy anniversary to C! I was looking through old photos to make a birthday card for our L's birthday party this past weekend and I came across a photo of C in her wedding dress that I had saved :)

  13. I am so touched Susan..

And so happy that you are having such a fun packed summer..xxx

  14. Your monochromatic collage is beautiful, Monique. The sepia tones add so much drama to the images. I share your daughter's weakness for chocolate and nuts.

  15. How sweet of you to bake a tart for your daughter's anniversary! The chocolate looks divine!

  16. Your tart looks wonderful, but I have a question.

If I were to do a shortcut, could I use a pre-made fold out pastry pie dough or Puff Pastry sheet?

I would love to make it for friends this weekend.

Or is the dough more like a shortbread crust?

  17. It is more like a shortbread crust..not exactly though..I think it's the butter.. You could always try..
I often buy pre made pie crusts.. fresh..but not for this and never for anything that has a need for a sweeter crust.

  18. Your favourite things are my favourite things Monique. What a beautiful collage of wonderfully inspired photography! I am loving the tans and greys. So beautiful. That tart is singing the song of my heart. I would love a nice slice. I daren't bake one of my own . . . for there would be only me to eat it. I shall just have to invite company won't I? And then bake two desserts . . . an extra one for my chocolate hating Todd. xxoo
