Let's go to St-Paul -De-Vence♥

Simply because..

we LOVED it~..and it's grey and morose out here at the moment..damp  and just blah.So..onto Provence.

St Paul..♥
We parked in the indoor parking.. Jacques was a trooper..let me tell you..those indoor spots are tortuous lol and treacherous.. through there you arrive at a myriad of cute boutiques..where you can get a lot of specialty products..if you are not going to markets..this spot has a lot.
And then out to a main meeting ground..so funny..I thought I was talking to Jacques..he was feet ahead of me and I was talking to a strange man..  who said he didn't mind:) Sweet man..

St-Paul is gorgeous..GORGEOUS.

Lots of shops..views.. art boutiques..and  a knock out Occitane..knock out.C'est si beau..designed by the founder himself.

We had lunch at Le Tilleul..outside..oh mais ce fut magnifique.
Magical..like a movie set.Truly..the leaves were golden and gently falling..weather was beautiful..I just loved it all.
We had a father daughter beside us,so nice..southern gentleman  from Charleston....she had just married.. and her honeymoon yacht was docked in Cannes..her dad had flown out to meet her for this day♥ Imagine that. And they had a chauffeur..I think Jacques would have loved a chauffeur a few times;)
When they left we had a handsome young man from India..on a business trip ..loving St-Paul -De -Vence..I do kind of say hello to people:):)
Everyone has a story.
Anyway..I can recommend this place with all my heart.

I have not been many places in my life..but I can safely say Provence is somewhere I could have lived .

  3. Oh my Monique. I so have enjoyed this visit to Provence with you, every step of the way. Your photographs are breathtaking. They make me want to experience it for myself, which is the hallmark of a great photograph! Thank you for sharing it with us! French graves fascinate me, all above ground like that. Some are very beautiful. Hope you are having a beautiful week dear friend. God bless! xoxo

  5. I feel the same way about Provence. We spent a week in Ils Sur la Sorgue. Driving the rental was a challenge in the lanes that passed for roads. But the beauty was worth it. I could live there.

  6. It is a beautiful town. That outside seating area with the large tree must have been truly magical. It so needed today. Another nor’easter has begun. To be sitting under that tree right now would be tres magnificent! Look at the beautiful street lined with begonias. And the trumpet angel plant reminds me of Deanna from GB with her beautiful and large size container plants. Thanks for sharing this today.

Nicotina is seeded..the calendulas do so well so quickly outside will wait:)
Do you want Dancing With Smurfs tomatoes?

    2. Oh the snow is rediculous! I’m not sure I’ll see the garden till May if this keeps up. Another nor’easter might hit Monday. I’d love a few of those tomato seeds. I have not started my seeds yet. I plan on starting them the last week of March. My fingers are crossed that we keep our power. Jerry requested Boston Cream pie for his bday celebration along with baked macaroni and cheese to accompany a baked ham that Beth will make. Jerry will make the mustard that everyone loves.

  8. Charm x 1000! Love all the photos, especially Souriez with Jacques smiling, the begonia-lined walkway, the horseshoe horse, everything really! So funny that you started a conversation with a stranger thinking he was Jacques. He sounds like he was a kind man. We used to have a very small l'Occitaine in our nicest mall but it's gone now :( What beautiful memories, Monique. ♥

  15. Last night on Wheel of Fortune they had a trip to Provence as one of the prizes. Oh, I would have won, too! These are so glorious, Monique. Each and every one is like a travel brochure and they only use the best! I love Occitaine's liquid soap (long out of it, but that's life). I actually have a bar I bought in 2009 that I can't bear to open so it sits on my bathroom shelf! I love the cemetery, alleyway with the flowers on both sides, Salon de The -- oh, I love it all!

  17. I'm so glad I hopped on for Provence. The ally with the plants reminds me of something similar on the Amalfi coast. so I have a similar photo. St Paul is so picturesque and I love your shots.

  19. I have lovely memories of St Paul. We had lunch on the terrace watching the clouds blow up against the mountains until those clouds were now heading in our direction. We had to take refuge from the sudden rainstorm in an ice cream shop. Of course we had to try several flavors.
