Les Bleus~:)

A gorgeous cup shaped fridge/freezer container w/ lid..a gift from one of my daughters filled w/ blueberries picked by none other;)

So many recipes.. what to make quickly one morning before hitting the garden path?

Why these of course..proven winners;) A recipe from my other daughter..:)I made 8 instead of 12.

From the great year 2009.Geesh almost 10 yrs ago.
A wonderful year.

Instagram had a Granny Square Day..I picked the one above..

No secret..I have the blues..in a garden..:)

Having les bleus..in French means you are down in the dumps..

Having des bleuets.. in French means having blueberries.

I prefer the latter;)

Always.

  1. What a haul of blueberries! Ask Noah if he will work for me. I love them. I have an affinity for blue too. I wondered if your porch is glassed in? What fun to sit out there in winter too.

  5. I wrote my thoughts and was not signed in, sometimes it does this to me and then I lose what I wrote😩. I see you did get cracking and made the boys a treat for the blueberries they brought you. It must have been crazy hot picking berries. But Nana made it worth their while. I love your porch too. How do you manage to reach that fern up so high? And the granny square blue yarn is a perfect match to the blueberries in Noah’s basket. Enjoy the weekend, I think next week the weather is going to cool down a bit.

    2. Be careful even on the chair. You don’t want any falls... No I do t have to sign in every time so I don’t think to check and then when I hit the publish button it’s gone. Only happens once in a while.

  7. I prefer les bleuets too! In fact, I have rather a lot in the fridge that must get used soon so I suspect muffins may be in order. Maybe these! They look wonderful.

I adore blue in all its forms. So every photo here speaks to me but my favorite is -- Noah? I think. I might be getting them mixed up but that is a "framer." Best frame you have -- and hanging in the kitchen I think!

Thanks for coming by this morning. I watched the movie last night. I actually did know a lot of the actors -- three were in Downton and one in Doc Martin! I wish it had been a five-part mini-series. They had to cut a lot from the book, for time, I suppose. But I really did love it! Hugs to you and happy weekend, too!

  8. Blueberries are the best. I could eat an entire pint in minutes. Some of my family don't like them and I am stunned every year. So many things to do with them. Noah looks very proud.

    Enjoy your weekend

  9. Oh my, look at all of those beautiful blueberries Noah is holding! I just made a peach and blueberry cobbler from our gourmet group menu today for when Lauren and Wes come over for dinner later. It was a hit. Now I have a whole bag of wild blueberries in the freezer. I must make those muffins! They look delicious! I'd rather have these blues any day also :) What a neat mug and your porch looks so inviting :)

  11. Give me a generous bowl of blueberries, topped with yogurt or whipped cream and I am in heaven! I felt the urge for them just looking at your pictures!!!

I love your casual screened in porch. It's a must if you want to be outdoors bur protected from the elements and bugs. We are screening in our balcony off the master bedroom to get more use of it.

    Beautiful post, Monique!

What gorgeous blueberries you have and what a lovely collection of photos about the subject here!

  17. Oooh, Blue....It is blueberry season here in Maine too! Before the ticks I used to love going picking on mountain tops. Aren't they the so cute, and supposed to be so good for us too! I read recently that blue is the favorite color all over the world (by surveys). It sure is mine. If I were a baker I would bake all kinds of blueberry things!
I've been to 2 art exhibitions on the color Blue: One at Le musée de la civilization à Québec, and the other at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I might have posted my notes from Le musée on my blog, long time ago...
Your summer porch is adorb, as Carol would say!
