Have friends that want to go next year with me planning. I feel tentative about this. Carol looks great. She certainly has followed her dream. Did you use her maps? I used the one for Rue de Montorguiel and had wanted to get to Rue de Cler, did not make it. I too think she should try to get a book published. She has some connections. She told me her maps are not perfect for placement on the streets. I do not think that matters. Her maps are full with whimsy and you at least know what to look for. Thanks again. Looking forward to more pics and info. Les 2 Palais is one of my favorite cafes especially since it is close to the flower market. We had iffy weather with 2 days of sun. Just made it in time as far as heavy rains. I have used an apartment rental that I have been satisfied with, but could you tell me which agency you used. I would like to have another agency that someone else has used. We did have lunch with CarolG. She was on the go. Enjoying your posts. It does loo...I will take Paris, rain, sun or snow. It does look gloomy and to think I was there just a few weeks earlier-the people look much more bundled up-we were in a sweater. You are right though there is something to see on every corner if you look. My Dad was saying how he has all these memories that pop up in his head. He went wandering around Ottawa trying to capture a little Paris. C'est impossible. Hilarious with the pass-I knew you needed the photo so I just said they were in the luggage when we bought the pass. One day the metro police were checking -I thought for sure we were doomed but they were only scanning the tickets and gave us a wave when I waved the pass at them. Bon journeé. It does the make the trip easier when you speak French. My Maltese is horrible-I never speak it and it is self taught. One day I asked for a cup of hot water and dropped the q in the word hot-my dad said I asked for "poopy water" he was laughing so hard.
