I love your blog, it's thoughtful and beautiful, as I am sure, you are also. I love the lemon tart. The ice cream in the half lemon is genius! I especially adore your story of Jojo. I am blessed to have my childhood friends still in my live, one so close to me, she is more of a sister than a friend. I love your pics, all beautiful, yet, most touching to me was the one on the "stoop" with your friends. I have similar pics of us on our "block". I treasure those days, the pics and our friendships! Brava!! Your intention to share you and your talents were shining bright on this post! ~ eℓℓe ƸӜƷ ChangeWishingIntoDoinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11452477674205092278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220978989894261816.post-90965374222763123692009-06-03T00:19:53.634-04:002009-06-03T00:19:53.634-04:00Monique,

It is so funny how the expressions on all of the kids faces tell a story. The little girl stuffed between the boys on top doesn't look too thrilled about it! And the shoes...no sneakers then! I used to like sliced tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches on Wonder bread...I thought those colorful circles on the bag were cheery and liked to shape things out of the squeezed bread that went into a ball all too easily.

Thanks for the feedback...it was fun see the pic of you and your friends as the circle continues.

Diane2 Stewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13215338109613729558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5220978989894261816.post-38166019582158474202009-05-31T17:57:21.406-04:002009-05-31T17:57:21.406-04:00Monique...you were such a pretty little girl!

I am definitely trying that...and the lemon tarts (I love your sugared pansies, too!) with ice cream...can't wait since lemon is a favorite in this house!

It is a lovely story. Your friend JoJo is very lucky...who is who in the pic? It immediately takes us back to a time when kids played with neighborhood kids until sundown...no classes to race off to.
