There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself. ~Ruth StoutIt was 0 F here yesterday..even our drinks need sweaters:)
Warm up your green teas, hot chocolates..with warm little sweaters cut from the sleeves of your old sweaters~Comfy.. cozy..country~
Good morning Starshine.
ReplyDeleteI love your hot drink cozy!
And you're going to get chills when I tell you, I have a similar one, only it's made of jute twine.
Do you recall a couple of year ago, when I went through a jute craze?
I'm telling you, this is not mere coincidence anymore :)
Hi Sol..Why can't I remember that exact post? I think I remember the jute:) But truthfully your posts have been works of art to me and one even lovelier than the next if possible:)When I see you have posted something..I get excited.
ReplyDeleteI cannot find the heart anywhere on the web,I can't even find the company..I will keep a sharp eye..If ever I find one you will know:)
This is ridiculously CUUUUTE, Nana! My gosh, that cold, huh? If it gets any colder, will I see faux fur lining the hems? :D
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the cup cozy, they are just too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!!
Suzann ~xoxo~
It has been gruesome here too.. but it breaks today and for a few days... above 50º... yippee. The drink cosy is a great idea.. keeps cold things from chilling your hands and warm things stay warm longer.... my coffee is stone cold before I finish it!

That is going back a long way; I remember my mother had these different coloured crocket cozies for her glasses. I love memories.

What a cute and clever drink cozy. I thought I would have to be able to knit, but what a fun idea to just cut off the sleeve of an old sweater.
ReplyDeleteThe muffin looks delicious with the warm drink too.
Sorry to hear it was so cold. We have had a few gorgeous days in the 50s and it is like torture to know that cold will come back today or tomorrow!
So cute Nana, adorable!!!!...this winter is really getting old for me. Some of the snow is melting, but I still can not see any patches of grass. It is 41* today...a heatwave!!!!!!:)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea! Has given me a great excuse to make more hot chocolate :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable. Off to cut one ;))))))
ReplyDeleteMonica xo
oh dear this is so cute! I always want to learn to make one of these things ^^
ReplyDeleteI've made those last year too Monique, I got the idea in a magazine, I made mine in wool in different colors, just for myself, others would think I had too much time on my hands!!!!
ReplyDeleteWarmth,
Ginette
What a cute idea! The weather is turning cold, here, too. I think it is to get down to -20C
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteGinette if I could knit I would have done so..good for you..
I have time on my hands this year..I saw them in a magazine too:)
Certainly not my idea.. but I loved them..
Cute! I could use one of those for my outdoor teas!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
so cute, these cozies...will also help protect against burning. I sometimes have my hot chocolate so hot that I can't touch it, but want to warm my hands around the cup.
ReplyDeleteso good to visit here and catch up...

I'm sitting here in the dark, awake since 3am today and waiting for the sun. I'm chilled to the bone, but 0 degrees? Oh, my.
ReplyDeleteI need a manly one for my J. His fingers get so cold I fear he must have had frost bite in the past.
