~May~

We are having a lot of cooler temps and rain..
But it's the greening of QC..

I keep..not... busy..I hate that word..I keep focused on things I love to do..
Garden..paint..bake..DM my daughters♥

I made lemon curd and tiny choux for treats..different breads(next time)..

Painted Paris People..

Brought great bottles I scrubbed clean to use..a second life!

Above is what a walk looks like here even once vaccinated.
We're such rule followers.

Gardens are awakening..and that last pic?

Lucas was 3 after our first trip to Provence;)
I mean look at that lovely face..he still has it..
well that child has his first full time job this summer as a camp counselor...
Jacques said..How did we get here so fast..

He will be 16 in August and has been a Counselor in training the last two years..

This year this darling boy will have a paycheck.
I can't even describe him♥
I just love him so much. His laid back nature ,his kindness to all..Well this would be a whole other post..:)
Jacques and I wonder how this all went so fast.

  3. Before anything else, LUCAS! How adorable. He is a very handsome young man also. All your grandsons are. How did we get so old to have such grown up young men for grandsons? In the blink of an eye! Like you I have been very focused on things, taking one slow step at a time towards my hopefully brighter future. Today I bought a sofa and a chair, a washer and a dryer. I was surprised the hardware store was open. My sister and I the only people in the store except the manager. He gave me really good deals on everything. The sofa half price as it was the end of a line. I can't wait to get it into my place and show photos. Your lemon curd is so bright and sunny! Also your choux buns, gorgeous and again your people so lovely. People here are rule followers also. Except for younger people who you see congregating sometimes. I just shake my head and tsk tsk. It maddens and saddens me. The sooner people pay attention the sooner we can get this over with. Small pain for such a great gain! They ruin it for everyone! xoxo

  5. We are rule followers, too. Gosh, someone has to lead the way, otherwise I wonder what the future might look like! It's fun to look back at those childhood photos. How proud you must be of Lucas for wanting to be a camp counselor. Thank God for family. The older I get, the more I treasure each of our lovies!! Always enjoy your posts--thank you for them!

  9. My haven, this blog. Where I go when I'm hot or tired or blue -- even if I've been to the post before! And once again, you enchant me! The lemon curd is a favorite of mine, I love it. Your photo is just as yummy! And the choux look delicious! I love the Paris people but seeing your walk, I don't think you need to rely on the other photos for your subjects. You have some wonderful ones right at hand! Have a lovely week!

  11. We had mid summer like weather this past weekend and now back to spring reality with rain and damp weather too. The weeds are going crazy! Beautiful curd and those petits choux look wonderfully tempting. As always your Paris people are wonderfully done! I just read that we may never reach herd immunity with all the people who refuse to get vaccinated :( Many colleges and businesses will require proof of vaccination so that's a good thing. After all, schools require proof of other vaccinations, like measles, MMR, etc. I don't understand people that get their ""news"" from Facebook. Fools.

    1. I know!! There is talk of vaccination passports also..I am not sure about youth..For me..and my daughters etc..yes..just not sure if children need it..I have to investigate more..
Speaking of which M being a teacher and A a lieutenant we have all been saying how fortunate..nothing..well Noah had to get tested today..from the SCHOOL bus..
Trust me I see idiots on FB showing off at demonstrations w/ their kids..no mask etc..I know some..well one ;)
      Oh boy things are changing..
Did you read Feedburner will no longer have email notifications of blog posts? What's left?
I never knew Bill Gates had an affiliation w/ Jeffrey Epstein...
      Lots of news today.....

    2. I forgot to mention how much I love that sweet pic of Lucas. Is that him walking on the path ahead of Fred maybe? Hard to tell from the back :) How wonderful that he will be a camp counselor. He'll be a great one! I just read the same thing about Bill Gates! I was very surprised.
