Soul Food #109~
Ahem..not everything mentioned on the front page of this magazine will appear.. as the cookies were a fiasco today..Ina..!
I think ..it is all my fault and I... Mea Culpa...I reduced the recipe by 1/3rd and that's a nono for Brigitte Cookie Cutters and her shortbreads..
I got lace cookies..
What a waste:(
However.. the Soul Food remained~intact.
Everyone and everything that shows up in our life is a reflection of something that is happening inside of us.

PS..I showed my husband the cover..and he knew where it was and said" when will it be on your blog? Cause I'm a fan of your blog you know~"
That's soul food.

ReplyDeleteyou are a true artist!
I have to share this with you; all this time I thought my husband never bothered reading my blog, when the other day he let something slip that I knew came from what I had written. He kind of blushed and admitted he did read me. That make my day he's a good ol guy.

I must show my husband that lovely photo and see if he remembers the church from his recent trip there. I am certain he doesn't read my blog. Maybe I need to encourage him.
ReplyDeleteI've had a few disasters when trying to cut down a cake or cookie recipe. I now just do the whole recipe and either give some away or freeze for another day.
Best,
Bonnie
Rita.. I even knew your husband read your blog:) Something told me that..cute story!
ReplyDeleteBonnie.. I bet he does..
Thanks for lieting me know I am not the only one w/ the disasters:)
QC is famous for many churches..Many many many churches..
I love that cover, Monique. And how adorable of your husband!
ReplyDeleteI reduce recipes a lot 'cause there's just me. Doesn't always turn out right. Oh well...
It's always like reading a magazine here ;) What a lovely cover photo and such a beautiful church and scene.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the cookies :( I hate when good ingredients are wasted too.
I love the Fall magazine cover! I know, some days things just don't turn out and it is a total waste.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to have a husband who is your number one fan? I think that is so sweet. Mine is my fan too and that helps when I keep buying things for the blog, especially those tablescapes, but he loves them too, as long as we use the plates.
Have a wonderful day!!
Jacqueline you cracked me up.:) So cute about the tablescape things:)
ReplyDeleteIt's BigHugeLabs the magazine cover..We're lucky to have that..and Picnik etc..
