A lovely gift from Tuo knives~

 




As you know I quite like Instagram..you just learn so much.

This week..Tuo Cutlery wrote to me.

I guess they had noticed I have baked quite a bit of bread recently and offered to send me one of their bread knives.

I mean..Look.

I've never owned anything like this cutlery wise.

My mom's pieces are my heart treasures..

But in my normal life..I do have some good knives..

But nothing compares to this.

How nice is it to be offered something so special.

I am not bragging.I am grateful.

This knife is the best bread knife ever:)

The day I received it..yesterday:)  I made Suzie's bread from the blog and IG account .I have to tell you I love her book Baked..

I have reviewed it here..

This bread above I whipped up in the aft..a Muffeletta baguette.

Worked like a charm.

She had posted a story/video on IG.

You can ask this busy girl anything..she answers.

Nice nice person.

The mousse you see there is EXCELLENT..so funny I had made it yesterday morn after doing groceries.

The same day..(busy)..I made Suzie's date squares and tried to warm up w/ tea after my morning IGA run..





On most days:)

And to be 100% truthful..pre-covid.


Footnote..watched the inauguration and this Canadian girl had tears.

Many moments.

Is that strange?:)It just looked and felt right and hopeful for all.

All started with Lady Gaga:)

I have to end with Amanda Gorman.

I won't go over and over every little bit..of everything..

The Bernie Sanders   thing is being overdone...IMHO give the guy a break..you're either underdressed or overdressed..Memes everywhere.

A little disrespectful in some cases.

Just my humble opinion.

    Looks like a great knife! My grandfather used to hold bread in the air, hugging it, and cut the most beautifully straight thin slices of bread. I've never seen anyone else do it, don't really know why he did, but it was beautiful to watch, one of my favorite memories of him.

    I've already commented on this beautiful bread on IG. Seeing it again here makes me want to reach in and cut a slice! I'll have a cup of tea as well while I'm here. I just adore that tea cozy!
    I've rewatched various parts of the inauguration. Yes, it felt right! Amanda's words will be ever present in my mind. What an amazing talent! She is wise way beyond her years!
    As for the Bernie memes, I couldn't agree more! I saw one, and it made me feel sad. Then more and more. They just didn't stop. And at whose's expense? I've never been one to tolerate teasing or making fun of someone. In my mind it is rude and at times abusive. As a teacher of young children, I constantly made clear that it wasn't appropriate or acceptable. I believe in humor, but not at the expense of others. Someone sent me a video yesterday from Jimmy Kimmel Live. US patriotic statues dancing and singing a send off to Trump. It started out clever as if celebrating but then turned, in my mind to unnecessary rudeness. Winning teams don't make fun of their opponents losing.

    How wonderful for you to receive this amazing bread knife. You deserve so much more. I shall check out Suzie’s bread. I absolutely hate politics. The lying, the cheating, of so many politicians, including Biden and his druggie son. The media used to share both sides of a story, now most share 1 side. it is depressing to know so many people are corrupted. It is sad what people are doing with Bernie’s photo. Why can’t people respect each other, whether winning or losing. I always have hope, but I am afraid the almighty greed has taken a toll on our country. Just my rant for today.

    No one deserves a great bread knife more than you do! Three cheers -- I'm so glad to see you recognized! Your paradise world is beautiful! (I felt OK about the Bernie memes when I learned that Bernie was loving them -- and that he even licensed the image to a sweatshirt company with all proceeds going to a food bank in Vermont!)

      I loved that part..I disliked all the distasteful ones and everyone jumping on the bandwagon..
      So many artists painting him and offering prints for sale..etc etc..you know ow it is.. and some were distasteful:(
      I'll tell you a story I adored today..
      A man in Turkey was in the hospital for an operation for ap one week..his dog waited outside the hospital the whole time.
      Tearjerker.
      Now that's love and devotion.

    What a lovely gift and one that will get lots of use in your home! I'll bet it's sharp...watch out for your fingers :) Oh, I am craving date bars now...it's hard to be good - LOL. Did you watch any of the Tom Hanks Celebrating America concert in the evening of the inauguration? So many good artists sang. You can still watch it on YouTube, just look for Celebrating American with Tom Hanks. I like being able to fast forward through the commercials. Now all we need is vaccinations...soooo slow here. Hopefully, things will get better soon.

      Its so cold here..yesterday and today..I love watching the skiers because I don't even walk when windchill is so horrendous.Bright side..bright blue skies and sunshine and white snow.I think that's one of the things I love about IG and blogging..telling everyone..about things I like..you do that too!

    And the Bernie meme - I am so over it. I was after 2 or 3 but many of my friends are keeping it going. I no longer respond.

      I am soooo over them too..OVERKILL.Jumping on a bandwagon and hanging on..booooooring lol.
      YES they sent me the knife and of course I was thrilled..It's the best knife I have ever owned:)I baked two loaves yesterday one for my daughter ad one for us..It's something I love doing;)
      It's still pristine where we live and not an inch has melted.tiny little snowflakes are falling.
      My highlight this year is watching all three boys cut across our yard to ski..They are so athletic..just like me..(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

    Now that looks like a seriously good knife. I wholly agree about Bernie Sanders, just leave the poor man alone. Seems to me a lot of people are sorely lacking in grace and manners.
