Because it's one of France's pretttiest places..
the wind was fierce market day..tablecloths blowing in the wind!
Gordes is gorgeous..the day we visited..The Mistral was blowing wild~
We could not hold onto our hats..the market appeared to be blowing away!
It's simply a magnificent medieval village..Life is good there.
The vistas from above are outstanding..the vistas leaving are astounding..
the shops..the market..the restos..the buildings..all of it♥
We went in 2008..HAD to go back♥

We ate indoors..no pics..great food!The high velocity winds made us seek refuge to eat:)
One of our hosts at an AirBNB..grew up there..these are the grapes he brought us freshly picked..
Clearer water you will be hard pressed to find..than in La Fontaine De Vaucluse~we went there après Gordes..

Cigales (cicadas) are big in Provence..I brought one home (ceramic) that actually makes sounds when walking by..I put it in our screened-in porch for the boys ~
It is a GREAT place to visit♥
