Meet Philomena~Or I seem to have a lot to talk about these days:)

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice..That's what little boys are made of..
and now I know this to be true.
Because of..the Alphabet Boys♥

This is Philomena..she flew here from Texas..arrived safe and sound and ready to brave our cold winters..she has a special spot on my windowsill..that way the sun can warm her.

She was not frazzled.. nor tired, nor jet lagged..
She traveled lighly..no extra baggage..unless cuteness would have counted.
She is tiny enough that she could have  lots of room in her first class seat.
She enjoyed the best French Cheese and a spot of wine.
She read her favorite books..and requested Ratatouille as her movie.

I am going to take such good care of her..

I loved baking those shortbreads with her..the recipe was courtesy of  here..we loved munching on them w/ tea and honey..
I took out cups a lovely client gave me..they were his mother's..how sweet was that?  He and his wife came for dinner and he noticed I loved old things..and old china..the next time I saw him..he insisted I have them..as they did not use them.his lovely wife agreed.
Years ago.Seems like 100 actually..and other times..like yesterday.

Many people have collections..I seem to have comfortably ...serendipitously... and happily.. fallen into the cookie stamp/cutter collection category withouth knowing what hit me.

A new stamp..is always thrilling.

Damn it feels good to be a baker stamp..is comfy  w/ sharing the spotlight w/ Philomena.
Generous of heart:)
Like Custard Cream..and the French ones..and the Home Made..And Love You..and Linzers..Starbucks..Ricardo,Christmas and Valentines ones..Easter and Halloween..Minions ..Star Wars have been relegated to the Littles..the list goes on and on...Brigitte..remember?

Je te remercie Sarah:)
Un coup de coeur pour moi.

You may remember Philo in our gardens too:)Philo was in a clients garden..when she moved..Philo came home w/ me.
Is it just me or has winter..flown by..well  .. is flying by..?
I think I talk more in winter..because we partially hibernate.

I bought Calendula seeds..I forgot last year and they didn't self seed..
I missed them..you only really miss something when it's gone~
I was reminded all summer~

Have a wonderful week. I am getting anxious to get into the garden and dig. Found two plants at 99 cent store that said take me home and love me. So I did and hopefully they will thrive.

  9. And you have made me a cookie stamp collector too (and now jello mold oil lector). Just catching up after the birth of Lillian. The cookies look so good. Sugar and Spice describes Katherine, I wonder if it will apply to Lillian. She has been nick named Lilly Bean.

You've had some gorgeous weather..we hit a few raindates too..we have been known to sit on the beach in the rain and read..under our umbrellas..unless.it rains hard..
I love the sound of the rain there..much prefer the sun though..even there..technicolor turns to black and white..I find..

      Have a blast!

  14. What a wonderful Coup de Coeur. Oh your posts do cheer my heart each time I read them. Cookie stamps are fabulous, especially with a great recipe and that sweet Philomena, totally adorable. Can you believe our snap dragons are already up. I fear for them as we have had a heavy frost during the night. This time of the year is so haphazard temperature wise. Kind of like Forest Gumps box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get! Have a wonderful Wednesday! xoxo

  19. Monique, this is the most delightful post, but then I say that every time I visit La Table De Nana. You have the gift of presentation. The sweet cups gifted from a former client are perfect for you. I agree with Sam in her Carolina Kitchen, we all know what a special person you are. It's obvious with each thought you share, your unique way of expressing yourself, the gorgeous photos, and the charming bits and pieces you seem to create so effortlessly. Of course you are also a calligrapher. I believe you are one of the creative souls that can do anything you try. Your script is beautiful!

I'm happy Philomena arrived safely and is enjoying the winter sunshine from her windowsill perch. I just knew you two would be instant friends. '-) The cookies are perfection. I must try my baking skills and see if I can measure up.
It's cold and windy here. I think March plan to enter like a lion. All the best, my friend!

She misses you..but is adapting very well..quiet as a church mouse:)
All the best to you too..it's been years:)

Dear Mr barrow..yes now I call him that..the last few episodes..have endeared me so much to him..and yes shame on those who were so blatantly nasty..I know he was for a long time..but he has changed..and everyone deserves a second chance. He did not kill anyone..;)
Gee I said I wouldn't say anything..but it's not in my main post..
Lady Mary and Henry Talbot..the union..leaves me cold.
I do hope things work out for Edith:) Jacques thought that was the last epi..thanks to Pinterest..I think there is more..
I want Edith to marry ..guess who?:)I want her happy..
I din't cry..the last time I got ferklemped was when Branson returned....
