Paper~And Macarons and Foxgloves~

I enjoy paper products very much..cards ..paper..calendars..craft papers..
I just wanted to share what I ordered from Shutterfly recently and how darn cute it is..an easel calendar♥
You pick your  photos and they fill 12 months..all different styles..no surprise I picked this one..it comes w/ that cute wooden easel..the paper is cardstock..not flimsy..

All Shutterfly all lovely.

Shutterfly is not sponsoring this at all..I just wanted you to see what cute things they make in case you didn't know..with the holidays approaching..they have bags..wall calendars..magnets..puzzles..games.

I love this set of 2 CDs Jacques bought, primarily because my mom enjoyed Frank..and quite truthfully I do too..he is up there w/ Michael Bublé ( poor them right now..their little boy Noah is facing cancer)....Harry Connick..etc..

Lucas came for a visit and played chess with Jacques..so I played with my paints one room away:)♥
I had been so fortunate to find a tiny blooming foxglove:) In the midst of putting the gardens to bed..a precious pastel summer jewel.
And so the paints came out:)
Lucas had a bite of the macaron and put it down..he did not put down the Halloween Oreos:)

  1. What beauty, the macaron. I admit. I've never tasted one. A foxglove this late. Wow. That must have been sweet. We haven't had a freeze yet so I haven't put anything to be yet though I've been out with my clippers. I actually have a pile to take to the farm in the back of my truck this week. We will have temps in the 60's this week so I do know winter is coming. I'll have to plant all the bulbs I bought.

    1. I have been remiss..no bulbs this year just the 100 garlic ones;)
Too disappointed with the ones I planted last fall..squirrel food..they must have tulips growing in their tummies.
A macaron is sweet..sweeter than I expected..Lucas asked me if there were other flavors..I knew chocolate was the flavor to say..he said he would like those:)

    2. Garlic is good. Surprised the squirrels didn't eat those. My sister saw a squirrel eating a bird the other day. I have never seen that. I am planting snowdrops for the first time this year. I can't wait.

  4. I LOVE Shutterfly. I've made their calendars for years and do books for every trip and for our annual family year book. Never been disappointed with their quality. I've also been pleased with the notecards and stationery I've done from my photos and paintings from vistaprint.com -- good stock and less expensive than Shutterfly. I'm such a sucker for paper, too. Love all you showed here.

Now that my sale is over I have to start thinking about the calendars and such I'll be doing. Thanks for the reminder. Shutterfly is having half off and I think today is the last day!

  10. Thanks for those tips on shutterfly calendars. I do like that one with the wood easel. I too have never had a macaroon. I still have my calendula blooming away in the pots near the fron door. My chrysanthemum Sheffield Pink are still in bloom too. The cosmos are gone after the last frost. Planted my garlic yesterday no other bulbs either. Have a great week.

  13. I love the easel calendar! How cute that would be on a working girl's desk :) I will check it out! I have to admit, I expected more the first time I tasted macarons also. The flavor is so delicate that most of the thrill comes from the filling unless extra flavor is added to the meringue itself. I do love the elegant look of them. How wonderful to find that late season treasure in the garden. Love the music. We had 40's and Big Band music on at my MIL's memorial celebration this past Saturday. Great music and those voices! I've been hearing about poor little Noah Bublé on the news. I can't even imagine! Thinking many positive thoughts for Noah and his parents.

  15. You are so artistic and clever, great post! Lucas sounds like our grandson with the macaron, but I think they're great! I read about Buble's son, too bad, he has not had an easy time of it with the burn and all. Take care

  18. The calenders are wonderful. Love how they can be personalized. Your daughters are lovely. How special to make these for gifts as well. I see many possibilities. I would prefer the Oreo too. Your paintings are always so special, capturing your family or still life. Thank you again for your input on the gall stones. I am waiting and also looking for a second opinion. For now, I am suffering from Shingles. I even had the vaccine, so go figure. I suppose my weakened immune system allowed this virus to break through.

  24. Your calendar looks great. What a good idea. I have only ever printed photos out on my printer and they never get put into a book like in the old non-digital days. Mum and I have both lost many photos when our computers died...no back-up unfortunately. Hugs Rose x
