Less to talk about~?

A lot happening everywhere that kind of makes you feel that what you have to chat about is so unimportant.

See what I mean?  Ted Lasso cookies..basically..a shortbread w/ as many variations on the net as you can imagine.I made mine w/ butter, flour, icing sugar.

They emanated from a great show..

Above photo from IMBD online.

Our daughters kept telling us it was great J was unconvinced.I went for it we both love it.A great distraction. He is so charming.

Our family came for Easter..Loved my day. It's funny before they arrive..not a thing out of place..I have a thing  for order and tidy.

The moment they arrive..LOL..

And I love it.

Life breathes everywhere.

Stuff everywhere:)

Especially a buffet..Because you eat around the island for apps..then here and there for the meal and desserts.

The boys head for the basement:)

They've always loved down there:).

That cake is the least cute Easter cake I've ever made..however it won rave reviews..

Carrot cake/ cheesecake ..yes both in one..

I had to bake mine a lot longer.

This game was a hit..w/ Max getting over 100 levels..all bunnies on levels  .

If there's a competition..he's in:)

One of my fave apps for life now..
Tada..

You can find here recipe here and there is a link for her onions within the text of her recipe.Best I have made.I only had reg unseasoned rice  vinegar but with her add ins they were perfect.I used smoked salmon.

I have renewed my subscription for another month at Jean Haines.

Apart from watching my seedlings grow and grow..I've started laying mulch..and my dirt arrives today..

See what I mean?

Not much to say:)

Fourth dose done..

Fingers crossed.

Take care everyone.

  3. Monique, I'll bet you and your family loved being together for Easter. We were thrilled to have all of our family underfoot, too. Such a great feeling!! Maybe we appreciate being together a bit more after the past few years of separation. Your food looks so delicious--love the idea of a combo carrot/cheese cake. It sounds like you're getting busy with your prep and planting. I spent the afternoon in the backyard yesterday, and loved every minute. It's like therapy for me. xo

Good for you and sprucing up the lawn..We live in our nests..birds beautify theirs like works of art.Seeing Ukraine and the devastation..like you do.. makes us hang on to our homes for dear life I find. How cruel and senseless and monstrous.

    2. Yes we are haunted by loss. I keep looking, looking, hoping to find. However in very many ways the ones that have gone before are somehow still with us. If only we could speak! Love in all its many forms

  8. You know what? I love your "not much to say." It's filled with beauty and love (and don't we need that a lot these days with all in the world?). I love seeing your slice of life -- Max and the game (I want that game!) -- it's real and it's beautiful and it's things like that that help us hold on when everything seems so bleak. Your cake, despite your own review of it, is gorgeous and sounds delish and I'm going to check out those appetizers! I think I need AppleTV just for Ted Lasso! I've thought about the Jean Haines. I might try it this summer. Meanwhile love your peacock! Happy week!

That Mariopol..all the homes..the devastation..how is it parts of the world luck out and others fall in shambles because of monsters?:( Unbelievable.Jean is a pleasure..the thing is though..lol yesterday I watched a class..then did it..and it was not great..before going up to bed I started it again..and of course left it..call me sleepless with wanting to learn.

      Take care Linda!!

    2. Monique, it turns out I have covid. We tested on Tuesday, negative. I had all of the flu symptoms. Thursday afternoon I got terrible lower abdomen pain.
I went to the ER. They ran all kinds of test and a ct scan. I have covid, also a kidney stone that is passing which causes awful pain plus dehydrated.
They gave me fluids via IV, meds. Just wanting to clarify what I originally stated. Back to bed.

  14. Your nothing much to talk about is music to my ears! ♥ I need to know more about the game for my boys! What is it called? It sounds like everyone had the right amount of fun and social. Poor Bo was sick on Easter so he and his Dad stayed home. I put most of the decorations out for the little one and he couldn't come :( Your carrot cake cheesecake sounds wonderful and the salmon app. Beautiful and delicious! How did you like the Ted Lasso cookies? How great that you're taking another month of classes! Can't wait to see what she teaches next. I actually did some plant shopping today. My favorite nursery had a customer appreciation day and everything was 20% off. I only bought the things I can't find anywhere else, like lisianthus and some specialty annuals. It was pouring rain outside but the place was busy! Luckily, all their greenhouses are connected so I only had to be outside in the rain to to inside and then to load the car - LOL. It was wonderful!

    1. We've spent the last 2 days in the gardens.. 9/10th of the earth laid..I have to finish the last areas w/ mulch..we think we should do this every yr...Great exercise..but it's hard work lol. I wish my nurseries carried ranunculus and lisianthus!Anxious to go plant shopping..I have very few areas for annuals but they are a necessity!I'll ask M what the game was called..tons of plastic rabbits/bunnies and see through levels..Poor Bo..I know the Easter decorations are lost on the big boys lol..not a peep;)I bet it was WONDERFUL.

  15. No fourth doses here yet. And people are behaving stupidly, numbers still very high, health care system strained. It makes no sense. For me, I am still keeping to the previous rules. I have started watching Ted Lasso show. You are right, its very good! What a lovely Easter you had! That game looks like something my grandsons would like. What is it called? Your cookies look great and will check out the recipe. Also your carrot cake cheese cake is charming. I am sure it was delicious! And that appy, how gorgeous! What fun to be able to get together with your family again. I wish that my two older sons lived closer. I would so love to spend time with them. I am sure before too much longer you will be elbows deep in the soil. I am still thinking about taking the classes. I so want to. You have impressed me so much with what you are doing. I think your work is just beautiful! Bonne Weekend! xoxo

I asked my daughter in a DM the name of the game.. it is a ball for kids.
Marie..compared to the others taking Jean's class..I am nothing. The talent is unbelievable.I am just trying.
Truly what I did you can do..It's what the others are doing..OMGEEEE.Her classes have been online 2 yearsI think a few have been students for two years. Some of my tutorials are fails:(But I love them. You would love her.Ted is good isn't it?♥
