The Itsy~ Bitsy Spider..

Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again..

Happily..some rain fell.. some  rain fell..happily:)
I am certain grass and gardens were rejoicing last Thrursday when the skies finally opened up and the rain fell..everything was crunchy..and parts of the grass looked a bit like straw.
so rain ..here was a welcome relief..unlike other parts of the world..
where just too much rain had been falling.

  3. June is busting' out all over.... at your house Monique. Doesn't look like there is much to tend to there as it already looks filled in and beautiful. We were having rainy weather too and cooler temps, then the rains stopped and it has been ninety degrees. Knew it was coming but I'm not happy about the heat.

  4. Gorgeous photos. We are a little sick of rain in France.
That song makes me think of when my then-little one would call it "Bitsy Bitsy." Sigh. Goes by in the blink of an eye.

  9. We had another rain last evening, but it didn't last long. It's been a wet spring here, and it's been welcomed. I'm not ready for the dry, hot days ahead, but they have arrived. It's eleven pm here, and it's 82 F. Too warm for early June!
Beautiful photos, and the little song is a favorite. '-)

Our gardens need primping..I used to French braid my daughters hair:) I think I French braid our gardens..at this time of year if we are away..we come home and it looks abandoned..

      shouldn't be that way:)

But thank you for saying that:)

  12. Weather has been a wild ride here also with rain, wind and thunder after a long dry spell. Yesterday and today, HOT and we have friends coming for an al fresco dinner tonight. I may have to plug in a fan outside to keep cool (or take a dip in the pool) :) Oh La La, that yellow tulip! And green is a thing of beauty after the monotones of winter. Can't wait to see your next post :)

About 6 years ago..my friend at work..Luc.. his wife worked at quite famous peony gardens here..and one day he came to work w/ 6 seedlings..not bigger than a whisper..and he said..that it would take years to see blooms..he was right..I planted them all in my circular bed..and 4 will flower this year..unfortunately a football;) landed on one..and she won't be back till next year and that's w/ fingers crossed..

Our drive up to Chorley was pretty uneventful and we had a great morning, but the skies opened on the way back and it was very difficult to see on the Motorway! I was so glad to finally be home. I could have kissed the ground! Your garden is beautiful rain or shine! xoxo
