It's the little things ...you know..
Things..precious things you had as a child..
Things bought on trips that then reminded you of someone..
Things you have had forever that remind you of a newly found Instagrammer that inspires you
A quirky funny ornament..that make you think..maybe you were born to be wild
Ornaments from my darling daughters
Ornaments from clients you had
Many ornaments from long time pen pals... two peas in a pot
Ornaments I made to make my girls happy and to make $$ at craft sales..
LOL times have changed
Ornaments that represent passions..
Ornaments commemorating the best of the best years
To remember yrs gone by.. 45..with Jacques..started in -73
Yes my favorite people call me by this name
More passions..stitching..
Bloggers near and far..some lost some found
Laughter
It's the little things..you know.♥
Keep them all so close to you~The THOUGHTS that go with the things..
Monique,xx
Every one of them so precious! I decorate the tree likewise--full of warm memories. Love the "Grandma's 1st Christmas"! Merry Christmas!

DeleteDearest Monique, as well as you, I keep little things meaning a lot.
ReplyDeleteFor a long time I used to call you Nana. I was right, wasn’t I?
Merry Christmas, dear Nana!
Wish you a very happy 2019
Le meilleur de tous les mondes pour vous Nina en 2019 et un Joyeux Noel:)
DeleteYes! Ornaments are like old friends we get together with once a year. Reminders of dear people, present and past. I admire the trees done up with a single color, but they have the soul of a department store--all eye candy and no heart. I prefer my uncoordinated tree with sentimental decorations like yours.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is great. What a time capsule!
Lol you're right she's an antique herself ;)
DeleteI agree wholeheartedly with everything you said..Meilleurs voeux !
What a dear post, Monique! It is definitely the little things that mean so much and you have many meaningful things ♥ Family, friendships and sweet memories. I love the picture of little Monique next to her doll bed! She's still a sweet girl :)
ReplyDeleteShe gets so sentimental and teary eyed this time of year..Not in public really and if I do I turn around.
DeleteHave a great day Pea!
😊😘 😍
DeleteLove the Eiffel Tower ornament. But they all have meaning I am sure. Your warm memories shine through. Merry Christmas dear Monique. Love the look in your eyes as a child.
ReplyDeleteI do too..would it not be wonderful to be that child just one more time if only for one moment?I had it all..right there.
DeleteThe canopy..the tinsel..the faux fireplace..shiny Mary Janes..♥
Happy Holidays Penny!

So many wonderful memories Monique. Such beautiful photos and a gorgeous tree. Love all those felt ornaments. Did you make them? Have a wonderful holiday with family. Many blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you:)
DeleteI made many of them but not all..friends through the years and their nimble fingers and some were puchased i.e. Mr and Mrs Fox..
For a number of years I have loved making the ornaments from the patterns I buy here...
https://aliciapaulson.com/collections/ornament-patterns
I have not bought the kits.I by the PDF files that she sends.3 to a kit.I only have the Winter Cabin set left to do.
They are well explained and they feel so good to do.:)
I started by making 3 sets of each..a set for each of our daughters and one for me..Then I added one or two for gifts.
If you like stitching you might really enjoy making these.
Winter Girl ornament pdf was bought on Etsy Mimi Kirchner.
Each develop their own personalities:)
Many Blessings to you and to all of us.
That would be so wonderful♥
Like many of your posts, I save them till I have the time, the peace, the quiet, the very perfect moment to sink in and savor every photo, every beautiful word, every thought behind those words. This post -- oh, what a gem. The memories you have, the way the tree represents all those passions and people that matter -- I so understand and I love every bit of it. Merriest to you.
