Three Pines...

Have you watched the series Three Pines?
Louis Penny is a very prolific QC writer with a whole series of books and they made a series that we just watched and enjoyed..Three Pines..we have 3 pines right in front of our home so I am renaming our home Three Pines for winter..at least;)
Look at this darling card form Marie..It's Hallmark Signature..
She sends a card every yr..always special..It's flat..you unfold and it becomes a 3 d marvel.
This yr the cutest cottage..

It even has a fenced yard.

I started slowly but surely w/Christmas fare..
Having my daughters and family on their own before the whole families all together.
The no fuss puff pastry is a keeper. From a French feed I love..
Butter tarts..and nun's farts..yes I am so sorry but the direct translation from the French..Pets De Soeur..
And my different Pizzelles that are actually Gaufres Sèches Du Nord..
From our very talented Isabelle Lambert.

All this to say..
Winter has arrived:)
Have a lovely weekend.

  1. I laugh every time I see pets de soeur written out. What a name! We just finished watching episodes 4 and 5 of Three Pines this evening. I have all of the Louise Penny books and enjoy them very much. The dramatization doesn't nearly capture the complexity of the characters and the setting. How lovely to have your own Three Pines laden with snow.
    Happy weekend to you.

    2. ‘the duty of reciprocation heavy’…very true feelings…but mostly unnecessary, usually…do you think?…

  4. Your three pines are lovely. I have not heard of the series but I will look for it. Enjoyed seeing some Christmas normal on your post as my Christmas this year is all about moving from my house & garden to a retirement center. I will have a balcony so I will have window boxes and pots. It is a mix of sadness & excitement. Have a good week.

  5. Good morning Monique! Your beautiful three pines could be a Hallmark card! I love evergreens--esp at this time of year. I have read some of Louise Penny's books and liked her. I'm going to see if I can get the Three Pines series online. Well, we are fast approaching the one week countdown until Christmas day. I think I'll be ready (I hope...). I hope and pray that this will be a wonderful Christmas for you and your family, Monique. May you all experience God's greatest gift--love.
