Today is the day..I almost wish we would just settle on a time and live with it..
Snow will start to melt with sunny days..longer days..and then the earth will laugh in flowers as the famous saying goes..
I have new seed packets to try..
Outdoors..not indoors this yr..let's see how that goes..
I wanted to tell you about my newest favorite focaccia recipe from Cloudy Kitchen..
The pics speak for themselves..easiest..and I made her quickie version..both times..:)
Here is one of my Montreal peeps again and their story:)

Have a great weekend and ensuing week:)
Love the idea of the earth laughing in flowers Monique. Your garden certainly does. What a sweet olive oil cruet. Your focaccia is perfection. I love LOVE those baking tins. I have several of them and they are my favorites. I wish I had bought that brand for all my tins. They are the best! And you know I love your people art. Its one of my favorite things, and this one especially tugged on my heart strings. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI wish all mine were these also:)They live up to their name. One disappointment..the crown muffin..the bottom too small..they are top heavy and fall over:( My 9x13s were so scratched and worn..everything stuck.T made it with her pan..not USA and it didnt stick..mine were much too old.Fingers crossed for this years gardens..Farmers Almanach says SCORCHING.
DeleteYour photos are amazing….love the bumblebee! These Montreal peeps melt my ❤️, your art and words are the best…have a terrific weekend. xo, V.
ReplyDelete(What is the brand of the bread pan, please…thank you)
Hi V:). USA pan..it lives up to it's name.Five stars from me.And you are so welcome:) I hope you are good.:)
DeleteAh Monique...the clock moves forward a bit too quickly for me this weekend. I am up earlier than usual, but am grateful for a good cup of coffee and your lovely post. Those flowers--simply beautiful! I've become a huge fan of zinnias over the past few years. They're so reliable and resistant to problems. One thing I plan to try this season is a variety of zinnia sizes. Sometimes my tall plants fall victim to stormy, windy weather, so I'll try to buoy them up by planting smaller ones around them. I experiment and hope for good results. That bread....oh my! Thanks for the recipe. Of course, my old grandmother's heart melted when I saw little Oceane. That's exactly where we are with our lovies. Our girls are 15 months and 3 years old. They are my sunshine. I know very little about art, but you've surely captured Ariane's confidence as she walks beside her dad. Just the way she's holding herself and swinging her arms, and looking straight ahead. Love that!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky lucky lucky nana:) I do envy households with Littles. The sunshine is palpable:)Dear tiny humans with no agenda..Just love and fun and curiosity.Oh I had to tie many zinnias too and plan to use hoops in certain spots where the rain pounds ..roof angles.. eavesdroughs..all can lead to chaos in the gardens..I LOVE them too now:)I hope direct sowing works:)Have a lovely week!
DeleteI am enjoying my Sunday morning coffee & reading your post. Wish I had some of your focaccia to go with it! We had a dusting of snow over night, the trees are pretty. I like zinnias, too. Since I will be doing container gardening on my new balcony I am thinking of staging my pots in the manner that is shown in Planttraps.com. I will miss my garden but looking forward to something new. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will share some of your floral pics Ga..Container gardening is so rewarding..and I might even envy you;)I Googled and the opening image looks like France:) Perfect for you.
DeleteI love that her daddy is Lucas! Oh, it looks wonderful. I'm a big daylight time fan and I hope they keep it year round -- they're talking about that here. One extra hour of sun to melt the snow. Have a gorgeous week -- I'm definitely passing the foccacia recipe on to the resident baker!
ReplyDeleteHe will appreciate it..tell him even the fast same day method is so good..Lucas:) You got it:)Bon Dimanche!
DeleteWhat a sweet story and painting. The bread looking delicious!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU.I have two lovely photographers who enjoy taking backs of people and I love painting them.Grateful.
DeleteIt's a beautiful day, now. The rest of the week, not so much. But my heart sings with longer days ahead. I hope your snow goes away soon. My daffs and hyacinths are blooming now. Picture me happy.
ReplyDeleteI am picturing you:)Ill be snowshoeing lol I wont even show you my snow..snow much lol.
DeleteYour focaccia looks so pretty and puffy. I will check out the pans. Love your Paris people and their darling stories. Yes, the little does remind me when my children were young. My how time flies by. Beautiful spring photos. I lovely spring flowers.I think we are all longing for beautiful weather and lovely spring flowers. We are really getting a lot of rain this year. Depressing to read about so much flooding in some areas. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWe are aware of all the flooding in Northern California..so sad!I hope you are far removed form it all.The poor people..no homes..no money for hotels..so sad..
DeleteSpring was in the air yesterday:)
I appreciate your encouragement with my people bot here and on IG .Thank you:)
Scorching ? Scorching did I hear scroching ? Eeeek, Canada the land of weather extremes. Just sending out some St. Patrick's day cards and thought "green, what green" have to chuckle. Meanwhile in England snowdrops, daffodils and very soon bluebells. You always give me hope dear Monique 💚🍀🌱
ReplyDeleteHope is the thing with feathers..Is that how the quote goes? I love quotes about hope..Because many of us.. need it..England must be so beautiful with all the verdant greens:)All Creatures Great and Small:) Another delightful season over..Grassington looks gorgeous:)Have a great week.
DeleteWhat sweet paintings, and stories to accompany. We just got dumped on, and the governor has declared a state of emergency in NY through Wednesday. But I'm still excited about warmer temperatures since all my bulbs started popping up about three weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteThose are not this year’s flowers? Spring is on its way and horrible winter is fading away PB
ReplyDeleteI knew the flowers you posted were not from this year :-)
DeleteDebbie we still have TONS of snow:) TONS.Take care!
DeleteI love foccacia! I've been trying to replicate the one from a favorite restaurant and have to try this one to see how it compares. Yours looks perfect! I'll have to try sowing zinnias outdoors too. I think most plants do better that way. We'll see! I can't wait. An ti ci pa tion! Love little Ocean! I do remember those outfits. ♥
ReplyDeleteGot them all dressed and soon they had to come in:) LOL.But those were the days:)This foccacia..it will take a lot to steer me away:)
