...All the snow is GONE:)

I can't let you think I am still buried in snow..
It's right chilly and we have had a lot of rain but things are sprouting..  and hope of sprouting is going on:)

Those cookies are so easy..You just bake cookies that will fit in a silicone mold..pour a bit of melted chocolate in your mold..  then gently press the baked cookie inside..Let cool completely until chocolate hardens.
Release from molds and there you have them:)
Painting people from the back has become second nature to me and the rest is all intimidating..
Stepping out of my box going back to not stopping people but painting other things as well also..

I love baking small things:)
They last forever here now matter how small.I'll nibble to make sure all is edible..J ..well everything in moderation. The most disciplined person I know.

  1. Hurray for Spring!! I am glad to hear things are sprouting in your garden. One day, we wake up, go outside, and the winter is over. Such is life. Although I promised my hubby I would not garden (much) at our retirement home, I started a small bed of strawberries two years ago. For me, all things growing are like tending a baby. Last night when I saw that our temperature was going to drop just above freezing, I rushed out and covered all those blossoming little plants. (I love our local meteorologists, but I can't always trust their forecasts) Sure enough, I checked the weather and we are only 33 degrees. Too close for comfort.

Those cookies look amazing. Love those little bee molds. They actually sound like something I might be able to make (maybe), lol. And the jam cookies are so cute. Everything you do is a work of art, Monique.

Speaking of art, your Brittany Lighthouse is lovely. It doesn't matter what you paint--it all speaks to me. Thank you for sharing with us!

  2. Your garlic is the same height as ours here on the west coast where we’ve having stunningly warm weather. Of course we’re in drought conditions and already wild fires have popped up. There’s colour appearing everywhere, Spring is so exciting.
Have you tried Alison Roman’s salted lemon shortbread? I think I may have got the link from you. It’s all over the internet but I wasn’t overly impressed. Bonne dimanche

  6. I love your cookies! The little windows and you know I love the chocolate ones! So cute with the bee mold and such a cute idea! I have't baked in so long, except for a birthday cake and do you think I got any photos? Nope. It was a cake I already have on my blog anyway...the Chocolate Chiffon Toffee cake. Big hit! I'm so happy your snow has gone and I hope it stays that way! You catch up so quickly, it's amazing. We leave shortly for Georgia for a few days. Plant buying will be happening as soon as we get home! Grand openings will happen while we're away. People seem to go crazy the first day and lines are so long. I'm glad I'm missing that but hope they leave something for me! I'm going to try and plant fewer containers. Fewer tomato plants, fewer cucumber plants. We'll see how well I can restrain myself - LOL. I love that you are trying new things with painting. It's always good to learn knew things...keeps us mentally alert. You Grow Girl! ♥♥♥

  8. Sitting down drowsy before bed, scrolling through pink bees and cookies and tiny chivey spears, with books and walk-aways and all the trademarks of your table scrolling past like a Forties' projector in a theater of wonderful things. My hand grew tingly and slept a bit as the flashes went past, just swallowing so fast and vowing morning would serve for a sunshine look at every one in its own importance---down down past the eggs and Easters and colors and people and books and more watercolors, and I'm full entire for sweet sleep, with visions of all these promises of morrow dancing behind my eyes. Even basement descent into black screen to SOUL FOOD and then SOUP gave great glimpses of words to come, and those are sustenance, indeed. I have many days and many pages to absorb in the morning, and I'll dream of opening all those superlous gifts, and smile. Thank you, faraway friend, for the diligent and generous gift of your time and talents and full heart of treasures.
