The above app is delicious..this is my jam while still warmish..the next day I made the Jam/Pesto/Whipped Ricotta pots and the consistency was perfect..I spoon out the jam and place on top..a cute little baby basil leaf would have been ideal..but alas none so no deco:)
My daughter served us this twice..and then I craved it.
That says it all..she used store bought pesto..and I would too but I have oodles since my last summer's basil harvest.I wonder if I will have wonder basil again?
A note I cooked my jam longer.
The recipe can be found here.
With home grown tomatoes..I bet it will be even better if at all possible:)My daughter served hers on crisped bread..We just had it on regular ..both are good.
Might start seeds this coming week..I am holding off till April;)
This was very good too:)
It was J's birthday on the 24th and we went to our daughter's where we had that app:)
I brought 2 desserts and they were gone in an instant no leftovers..
So I made Jacques a Boston Cream Pie and it is perfect..moist sponge albeit I have some confessions.
I love grocery stores in France..We live on Bonne Maman jams and yogurts and desserts while visiting because I don't bake there.
But I also come home with other goodies..
One of them..well I bought 2..was Dr Oetker Ancel pastry cream mix.
Heaven.
Of course I can't get it here:(
Next..my glaze..I should have let it cool longer.
some puddled at the base.
No complaints and moist still:)
The recipe is Here.
