Mid February..and a sweet movie.

 



Triple lemony loaf:)


Antoine parked in le parking of Ménerbes with his beloved Pitou.They like to stroll about tat totally charming commune in the Vaucluse.The views are spectacular.He will scout around for lunch to see who will accept Pitou.Un must.





The lemon loaf .. very good:)

I had made the curd..and the rind had been saved  so it was a really quick do.

The recipe for the loaf is  here. ..

I added a lemon crumble on top instead of the glaze.

Saturday the 11th was so sunny but brisk..we went snowshoeing..mostly icy unfortunately..

But we enjoyed just being out walking.

Jacques spends hours out..I don't so it felt good.:)

    I looked at the website for "Confessions of a baking queen." She has some good recipes that if I ever begin cooking, baking in my new place I may try. The 2nd season of Madame Blanc mysteries is playing. I watched the 1st episode and am waiting for the 2nd. We had freezing rain yesterday so I was happy now to have to go out. Have a good week.

    I want to order copies of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse for our little girls. One review I read said that the book is written in humility. Oh my, how our world needs that quality!

      The book is sheer kindness and humility Pam.I did offer this book to two people.It meant that much to me.Seeing it come to life in this 30 minute animation ..warmed my heart.And I had tears on a few occasion..Just the kind that your eyes well up.
      I must tell you though..sentiment and sorrow....well I am an easy cry.

    Happy Birthday, My Dear Friend! Our view looks very similar today after the snow we had yesterday! Sunny and chilly today but I'll take the sun regardless of the temp. It looks like you may be getting the same snow system today that we had yesterday. More lovely snowshoeing days :) I love those short snowshoes, so colorful!     Yes it is a special book. Supposedly he is quite amazing in real life too ! My cousin has spent time with him and has some drawings. He is very spiritual and identifies as a Christian. Spends a lot of time teaching how to find God in weekend church groups around London. I much prefer his uncolored drawings.
