They are made in a snap.I made 1/2 recipe.. Fresh they are sinful..the next day 10 seconds in the micro..equally as sinful.Keeper.!
I made the viral bunny bread ..Use the recipe you like.I liked this recipe as it was a firmer dough..It is my sweet young friend Vanessa's recipe..You can find it here..
I found my shaping method on TikTok..Reels abound..
Jacques thought it was a chicken at first glance:)
I have been painting more peeps inventing more stories..all on IG..I've included a photo ..of what I inspire myself with..For my Riviera people..
Geni..from here..Is my inspo!!
She takes hundreds of photos of the backs of people and we play together.
I am grateful to her.
Birthday desserts..
We celebrated my husband's bday ..and my daughters flashed their phones..Oy horrible light lol what other excuses can I find:)
Any way Sweet balloons.. delicious food..best company in my whole wide world.
So I wanted to recommend these two desserts..
I made choux..w/ craquelin on top filled with a coffee creme pat:)
The choux..Lesley Chesterman recipe I have been making for yrs but I adopted Kathleen Meisinger's technique..Bravo to her..Craquelin..Serious Eats..crème pat ,,chocolate..Sur La Table recipe..
That cheesecake was voted 5 stars..
It's a crème brûlée cheesecake.
I agree best ever.

Choux had to be filled right before we left and the topping of the cheesecake at the table.
These carry things were so handy! Came with lids ..last Mother's day on our trip.

ReplyDeleteThank you xoxox.
DeleteA very happy birthday to your young man. That is a fine looking steak....a very special treat. Five star meal right there, and those desserts!
ReplyDeleteFred is a meat griller par excellence:) A treat.:) Thank you!
DeleteHello Monique. What a beautiful post you've given us! Those hot cross buns made my mouth water; and that bunny bread--how cute is that! It was fun seeing the photo of the Provence People transformed into one of your paintings. I don't know how you do it--I admire all the Riviera People, too. Happy belated birthday to your J! What a sweet pic of the two of you. I know I say it all the time, but life really is precious! We had bad storms/winds/hail last night, but no visible serious damage. I hope your freezing rain doesn't create trouble for you. Where is spring???
ReplyDeleteLife is precious.Even a small little quiet life:) I agree totally. We had freezing rain also..power popped off for one minute..lucky..others not so much.Glad you had no damage.Oh Pam the people that take the photos I like to paint I am so grateful for!
DeleteFirst of all, bit happy birthday wishes to J! I can see you celebrated in grand style with food that is both beautiful and delicious lookng -- a true treat! Those choux look fantastic! And so do the buns and bread, especially with your adorable Peter Rabbit china close at hand. A reminder to bring mine up! Tis finally the season. And of course, I'm delighted with your "people." Doing backs is really a brilliant idea -- there is a lot of character there and you don't have the angst of a portrait and trying to get the face!
ReplyDeleteI have stayed in a comfort zone..My faces are just quite awful...I shoukd practice. But I want to enjoy what I do;);) Yes bring Easter up:).Thank you Jeanie!
DeleteWhat a fabulous flight of bright photos greeting me this frizzly, dreezy morning!! All the scents of baking bread and lovely Easter rolls---there's something about a plain old raisin, wrinkled and still, that being associated with such yeasty charm as those shining rolls---they plump up everything along with their glorious selves, into all that they can be and more than they are.
ReplyDeleteOff on a long-scheduled outing, or I wouldn't be stepping out of the house---stay well and warm, Sweet Friend!
You too Rachel..Such humble little buns with a taste score of a star:) Have a good week!
