Dorie's Apple Cake~
When I saw Linda's cake..
I knew I would make it one day:)I loved her post..the cake..everything..so I did make it..and my husband loved it..Look..it looks like stained glass:)
I liked the idea of 4 big different, delicious apples:)
It's a cinch to make..and uses very little batter..I've made numerous apple cakes..and some are keepers..as this one is..
Thank you Linda and Dorie..
As Linda said ..you can download the fabulous recipe here..
C'est vraiment bon~

Gorgeous cake, Monique. I love how moist apple cakes are.ReplyDelete
I've never made apple cake before, but made many an apple pie. This looks so delicious, that I must try. Adding to the lushiousness, is your pretty autumnal plate and flowers. Lovely!
Yours looks so much more lovely than mine!ReplyDelete
Thanks for the link my friend!
I will always say yes for a good apple cake!ReplyDelete
This looks delicious, Monique! Love the chunky apples!ReplyDelete
What an intersting cake; it does look special. Have to go visit Linda; merci.ReplyDelete

It looks like a delicious little cake. I love your photos especially the apples...brilliant!ReplyDelete
We make a similar apple cake at home.
Everything you cook is just beautiful. Your cakes always are so mouthwateringly moist and that is through the lens of a camera! We have just a few left from our tree. After Thanksgiving I will make something. I wish our Thanksgiving were in September. This is just a little hectic, no a lot hectic!ReplyDelete
Lovely cake, lovely apples and lovely photos!ReplyDelete
Ahh..the apples are a little bruised..like their photographer:) A little imperfect.. again like their photographer..etc..ReplyDelete
But nevertheless the cake is good.
I look forward to seeing all your holiday baking and gleaning ideas:)
I don't know how you do Thanksgiving and Christmas so close!
Ouf..I would be exhausted.
I love all the american..Thanksgiving movies:)And Christmas ones of course.
As they say..Keep Calm and Carry On:)
Honestly, it's beautiful. The fact that it is delicious as attested to by you, Linda and Dorie is an added benefit!ReplyDelete
What a lovely fall treat.
If there was a photo that looks like stained glass, it is your photo of the four apples and the way the light makes them glow. And thank you, I downloaded the recipe.ReplyDelete
