This week..

Morden Blush roses ..Chives and an Iris in my mom's lovely vase.
The days of roses and poppies.. and irises..and early peonies.
Seeds take longer.
I hope they take.
Every day we are promised rain..only  once it happened and not enough.

I cater to the gardens..But I have the time.
It's just a hobby I can still do..
I pulled something last week..I DR Googled..lol I have Golfer's elbow..LOLOLOL.
I found exercises and it is so much better:)

It is my earliest yr to start gathering the garlic scapes..

That last pic is a dish I give more than a 9 on;)
There is a baked breaded chicken breast under..and I added chopped garlic scapes to the dressing all the while making more dressing.

Both my husband and I love it.

Love it.
I used sorrel and some capucine leaves:)Nasturtium..couldn't think of the English word..
Take care..Monique.

And again Mail Chimp will not send this out.I am over the limit..I just have so much more to say in Spring and Summer;)

  1. Oh, your yellows and pinks! Your purples and greens! And those exquisite iris in their little pink silky blouses over lavender peplum skirts! You have a whole garden party in just one row, and I know they have a delightful time flirting with all the vegetables across the path. I'm SO envious of that great fluff of salad with the dressed red onion and the gloriously decorative "beaded" chicken breast underneath---that's my kind of meal on a dish. I envision such riches as pearls and Swarovski all across the serving.
Do allow me my one giggle at the little typo---I confess to dozens of egregious mistakes over the years---most memorable was a Bible quote about having a "bean in my eye."

I think I told you I've ventured back into LAWN TEA the past few days, and I'm slowly finding a footing after these three years of scant grace to THINK a word, let alone put down a story. And a bit of lagniappe for today---I learned a lovely word: capucine for Nasturtium (my Daddy's favorite flower to pronounce---he could Southern Accent it into six syllables on a good day). Happy Ides of June, and Happy cusp of Summer!!

    1. Seed nasturtiums are the best nasturtiums IMHO :)Same with dill and a few other treasures..Boy do we ever need these elbows..We need everything..from head to toe.:)I follow an account on TIKTOK ..there are many but sometimes you click with some more than others. If I could wave a magic wand and make her better I would..Others also..But this one that I follow her courage is unbelievable. 3 Littles one is a baby..A warrior. She thought she had finally licked her cancer..It is now found in her lungs..Yes we need everything and my wish is for everyone to be well:)Happy weekend to you!!!

  4. What a riot of color! I love this time of year, the first flush of roses before the Japanese Beetles invasion. Is that pretty light purple a Geranium? What a pretty color! So sorry to hear about your elbow! Yikes!! Glad the exercises are helping. ♥

    2. True regarding the geraniums! I have the blue one which isn't very prolific and a white one that blooms and spreads like crazy. I had tennis elbow once a long time ago. I Goggled and it is difference than golfer's elbow. Pain on different sides of the elbow. I wore a support around it but it wouldn't go away. Then I got a cortizone shot and it went away.
