Chilling up..starting this weekend.. for the next 2 weeks~
I add Stevia sometimes..raw stevia~
My husband was playing street hockey w/ 3 of my grandsons and one of my son-in-laws~
I received the photo showing them out there as I was preparing dinner~
Love that pic..just from a phone..
My husband tells me I should get rid of my 10 yr old cell phone and get one that takes pics..
Now that I am not working? And have cameras?
Yesterday I picked up some tulips..
To add to the small indoor garden growing:)
I put lots in a vase..and saved2 for an old milk bottle I embellished with words I found on Pinterest..on a vase..
When I saw the vase..I knew I wanted to make one..
Thank you Pinterest:)
Rien de plus simple..
I took a vintage milk bottle..printed the lovely words on my computer..
cut out and glued..
added the 2 extra tulips and sat the vase amongst the hyacinths..that are growing:)
Salmon pies.. asparagus.. fig and walnut loaves are on the menu..
Nesting this weekend~
Finishing some stitching..some baking..
My husband is curing meats:)
Do you love the words as I do..?
And yes..Baby It's Cold Outside~
Bon Weekend~
I was reminded that inadvertently ..I did not mention the source of my inspiration~
Truth be told..I had not clicked on the Pinterest photo..simply got too excited to make one..
My apologies..
You can find the original idea here..I have now just persued some posts..it's lovely!~
I am grateful and thank you..
I love these photos M. Especially the tulips. I think I need to pick some up this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey had alstroemeria..I thought of you!
DeleteAlways..when I see them:-)
:)
DeleteOh yes, I do love the words & I love the tulips & the indoor garden & the glass with the beautiful reflections, light & growth!! Beauty for the eyes & spirit in contrast to the cold...Oh no! More snow & cold?! We've had a big thaw here & today I lingered walking on Main Street because it was sunny & springlike...
ReplyDelete"Rien de plus simple..." I like those words too. :o) Merci, Mme. Nana for the mid-winter treat!
The words just grabbed me Rita:-) I love how blooms can bring a tiny bit of temporary Spring indoors..will try Micron and paints tomorrow I think:-)
DeleteIndeed, baby it's cold outside (here in upper Michigan). I should get my sister some tulips, I know she'd love them. Thanks for the suggestion!
ReplyDeleteMy hyacinth that is just about to bloom. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou day sounds lovely. Love the words, and they certainly ring true.
Your post makes me want to rush out and buy a bouquet of tulips. I think I'll do just that tomorrow.
Enjoy a perfect weekend.
Oh, my yes! "Baby, it's cold outside!" We have had no snow here (in East Tennessee), though a slight chance has been predicted several times. Today the wind was really cold! Yes, I love those words as well. The flowers bring spring indoors! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteTulips + blooming tea = Joy :-) I was just thinking about buying flowers today and came home to a bouquet from Joe. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thing to come home too..
DeleteVery thoughtful of your Joe Debbie..
It's the little things in life, isn't it :-)
DeleteLove your indoor garden!! Curing meat?
ReplyDeleteJacques is at it again:-)
DeleteInstead of prosciutto..he is trying different things this year..has to do them while the cold room is cold..
You have an indoor garden too:-)
DeleteBisous ..aussi ..vers to..:)
It's so good to stay at home and to enjoy indoor pleasures when it's cold outside!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading a book about Downton Abbey, as soon as I have some free time, I'm off ! :o)
Have a nice week-end!
I bet the book is good..My friend gave me a book called Life Downstairs..pretty much about how it was in the kitchens..very interesting too!
DeleteTulips will brighten any day and what a good idea. It's even been cold in south Florida where it got to 39. I know that doesn't sound cold in the greater scheme of things, but for here it is. Not everyone has adequate heat, especially inland, where it's even colder. We're fortunate, but I feel badly for the poor people in Immokalee and also those that live over in the glades. Some don't have heat at all.
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me to buy a bunch of tulips. Have a lovely weekend Monique.
Sam
Oh I ahve been there when it is cold:)
DeleteIf the sun shines it feels a bit warmer though..
A bunch of tulips for you:) Here..
Who at Pinterest has such a lovely poem/idea?
ReplyDeletePinterest is just the showcase..
A shame not to give credit where credit is due..
Paris must be full of butterflys...
You are absolutely right!
DeleteI always do for anything!
Truth be told..I never clicked on the image to go to the link..Cross My heart.

It looks like a gorgeous blog that I will peruse..
will add the link to the post.
I am ferklempt..and apologetic.
It sounds like you had a lovely day, & your husband too, very impressive curing ham!
ReplyDeleteI love the words you found & stuck onto a bottle, I hope you don't mind I've copied them into my journal, & maybe I could find a butterfly image, I'm sure I have some photos I taken in a file to paint to add that little extra. It would be nice to make cards with this on.Why not try painting the bulbs in the jars that could be a challenge. let me know and show what you've painted. Enjoy your weekend.
I hope to try:)
DeleteLove the butterfly idea Barbara:)
Jacques enjoys doing meats..
He is working on pork cuts..and eye of round..:)
I've done the bulb thing many times over the years. Brings spring right into the house, doesn't it? And fun to watch, too. We're cold here too...relatively speaking.
ReplyDeleteThe newer phones are wonderful....for times when you forgot your camera. The pictures and videos are really excellent. Buy a phone, Monique! A gift to yourself. :)
Have a great weekend!
The new phones are great!
DeleteBarbara if I told you how often I use the cell..:) Less than 10minutes a month.. often..not even..
When i worked it was a necessity..
Now I watch and listen to others talk in line..LOL
For my personal life..it's not..
The first touches of spring colors are so welcome this time of year. We don't have snow but the days can be so dark and gloomy. Every so often the sun pops out to keep us going. I saw primroses in the nursery yesterday and will indulge as soon as my house is put back together. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful pictures - makes you think of Spring. I guess we are fortunate that our weather has been really hot - 85 to 90 and the flowers are really confused.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
J'adore ton blog, je suis toujours ravie de découvrir de superbes photos, beaucoup de belles idées et bien sûr de très bonnes recettes. Très belles photos, joli post, très bon week-end - Cath.

If Jacques says get a new phone, then get it :) You would love being able to take a cute snap in a store or wherever. Video too. I just took a very cute one of J and Dane. It's on my personal Facebook page. If you have one - Friend me so you can see it.
No Fb ..I saw the movie though..If you like it I am sure it is a fun thing to ahve ..always on us!
DeleteI will write you when ready and see which one you have..Tomorrow is Lundi avec les boys:)
I love all your spring bulbs and the vase is wonderful, one of my favorite quotes. Salmon pie and asparagus sound wonderful, it looks like you have an enjoyable weekend ahead of you :)
ReplyDeleteI love how flowers can brighten up even the gloomiest day. Your tulips almost look like they should be in an art museum. It sounds like you'll have a lovely weekend despite the snow and cold.
