Abs...as in absolutely delicious..:)And absolutely beautiful.

Thanksgiving Sunday was brisk and beautiful..went to my fave covid place:) Pretty much anytime place..

A lot of baking a cooking...

So this meal is just great.Half Baked Harvest..can't go wrong..we loved everything about this meal..but I used table cream..worked fine!

Pitch dark by the time we eat..but wow.So no pic sorry..

Period.

I just wish I had a clean up fairy:)

Thanksgiving I made Ann T's Osso Bucco but with pork.. MAGNIFIQUE.Served on mashed potatoes..

I can only share the pre-baked pic..

And you know.. I always thought I had the best apple crisp recipes..from my mom's to friends..to Martha Stewart..

Nope no one had THIS recipe.

I will never make another..started ths one about 2 yrs ago?

If you go to my IG post the full translated recipe is there.

I like to bake it at 350 though..and double it if you have a family:)

I like to make the filling that goes in the apples..right IN the baking dish..then I add the apples..and then the topping.

I loved her at my market.

That's it for now.

Take care.

    1. Everyone that has tried it has said the best:) You will learn to simplify..I make that sauce for the apples directly in my baking dish and toss the apples in there:)I like to add cardamom and I now bake at 350..you know it's done when it bubbles on the sides:)
I hope you love it too!
The colors are great here this year.A little blessing:)
      Take care!

  7. That view with the cloud casting a dark shadow on some of the trees and the stark white sail is so gorgeous! I copied the crisp recipe from IG and the Osso Bucco with pork sounds fabulous :) Comfort food at it's finest!! J and I just returned from a little escape weekend ♥ L & W bought a lake home about 3 hours north. Wooded and beautiful right on the the lake with a long pier and pontoon boat. We took boat rides, walks, drives through the most beautiful stand of birch trees. It was very chilly and actually snowed one morning but it was a blissful getaway. Their place is rustic and fabulous. Not old rustic but nice rustic :) I'll email some pics to you. Since they can both work from home, it doesn't matter where they are as long as they have good WiFi and cell service.

  11. Your photos are lovely as always Monique. Hopefully one day I will get to try the recipes you shared today. (Fingers crossed!) I can't wait to see the back end of this Covid. I think it will be a long time. In the meantime we make the most of what we can. Who would have thought this was facing us just a year ago. Never in a million years. It is like a bad movie. I always love your lake photographs. You truly living in a little piece of heaven on earth. xoxo

It's so free and fun! And thanksd for the recipe links -- I've never made osso bucco. I may have to try that. Your skies and water were so beautiful on Thanksgiving. I miss that water.
