Blooms~

Indoors..

And outdoor ones..

Blooming tea..  and David's Tea..Strawberry Rhubarb..w/ a wee cherry financier.
I just made a few with leftover batter from my fave cherry almond cake..
The cherries on top?
I pitted then re-inserted the stem..before baking,then no surprise..just don't eat the stem.
So cute♥
Pinks will be coming to a screaming halt one day..so I am soaking in the rosés..
Is there anything more graceful than Japanese Anemones..or Sweet Peas in the garden?
One for it's sway in the wind and beauty..the other for it's scent and form.

John Keats~

P.S.
We saw The 100 Foot Journey..
We both enjoyed it very much.
A Feel Good Movie~

  1. Such beautiful flowers this morning... I just love Sweet Peas.... The scent reminds me of my Mother... They were one of her favorites. Always had some growing by the back porch.
    Wishing you a beautiful day

  4. Such a pleasure viewing your last few entries this morning M.
I have Japanese anemones too. They stared with one plant several years ago and now they are not only all over my garden but is the gardens of several friends as well.

  5. Love you photo shoot of such pretty pink flowers, What a brilliant idea to stone the cherry & place the stem back in. It's those little touches you have which finishes off the presentation so delicately.

  6. Such pretty blooms. There are still a few spots in the garden that delight me but nothing like early July wowsers. I love sweet peas but have never had good luck with them here for some reason. My Japanese anemones have disappeared - no idea where they went. I used to love Honorine this time of year. The teas are lovely too - I don't think I've seen the swan infuser before ;) So pretty, along with your basket of pink and white.

    1. Honorine does not survive here either..Only the pale pink one..and she is a spreader..

  7. Sweet blooms, sweet sweet peas, I've rarely seen them. Sweet pastels, bringing lightness. I do love the French signs too. We think it's finally going to be hot & humid here for the next few days, so your pastel lightness is welcome.

  9. Thank you for another beautiful post.

Your photography is such an inspiration.

I so want a "brightening thing," for tweeking my photos. I want one! So much! :-) But I have not been techy enough, to find such, for my iMac.

I know. I simply can't do everything, which I see others doing. Be content. Yes! Yes! I know.

But, I can still dream of doing such photos. :-))))))))))))

  14. We've been waiting patiently for The 100 Foot Journey to come to our little lake theater and I think it will be this week. Nice to know you enjoyed it. Oh that cherry and the swan. You do everything cute.♥
I love the anemones too...although they were spreading like crazy so I had to dig up some. I wish Susan lived closer, I would give some to her. I'm still enjoying every minute of summer and the weather is glorious here this week.

    1. Sandy earth..poor soil actually ..nothing rich ..
I should take some photos before the blooms all fall off..I have to split some..
And of course plants end up where you would prefer they not grow:)
Mine seem to adore the front of our small small pond(like a small kidney shaped bath)..I keep trying to get them to travel to the back of it..

      :)
But poor soil..and weeds this year like I have never seen..not in that particular area but another..
      Thanks Terry~

  22. I loved the movie too! What a clever idea to put the stem in. That makes it so pretty. All of your flowers are lovely. I need to go and pick some roses and bring them in and enjoy them too before they are gone. Our August has just been wet, wet, wet, but the everbearing strawberries have loved it, so that is one consolation.

  23. Lovely flowers. I particularly like sweet peas as they smell heavenly, look so pretty and they remind me of my grandparents (they had them in their garden). A delightful tea too.

  26. MOnique, I read this the other day and thought I had commented! I did not! Something must have interrupted me. I don't know what is happening to my brain lately. It forgets more than it remembers. Love, LOVE all of your pretty blooms. I especially have a fondness for the sweet peas which look like they are about to flutter away any minute. They are my favourite flowers and yours are gorgeous. Those little fianciers too . . . so beautiful and delicious looking. How genious to save the stems to put back on later. But that is you all the way. You are so very talented at presentation! xxoo
