Winter schminter:)March...

Delicious KAF sourdough pizza dough..

Susan..her sourdough bread recipe from KAF too!If you search her blog you will see many bread recipes AND sourdough tips~
This sweet apron and oven mitt was a thoughtful gift from her to me..I had J model it;)

I made that delicious Swedish Tosca cake again..I've made 3 versions..all good..

It's like a sponge you par bake..then you pour/spread..the par cooked almonds on to  it and bake again.

It's one of J's absolute favorites. In love with my Fred eggs.In love.

Fingers crossed for March and vaccines and other things.

  3. I know you are ready for spring (and that you like winter better than I). But I have to say that's a lot of snow! And it is simply beautiful. It looks like something from a fairy tale -- The Snow Queen or Narnia. Breathtaking.

The cake looks delicious and as always, your food styling photos are just the best. Have a wonderful week!

  7. Winter scminter is right. It is beautiful, though. I'm just tired of the cold. Of course, mid-summer I'll be saying, when is it gonna snow? LOL

  8. Oh my goodness, I thought our snow as deep this year but yours even even deeper! I love the look of the paths that Jacques makes through your back yard. ♥ Now, ours has shrunk by at least half the depth with the warmish weather we had last week. It is supposed to even reach the low 50sF by this weekend so we will lose a lot more of it. I'm so glad our gardens were protected from the worse of the subzero temperatures with the snow cover! Thank you so much for mentioning me here :-) Jacques is such a good sport modeling the apron for you - LOL. I took a loaf of the whole wheat to L & W this past weekend and they loved it so I need to bake again soon. Oh my that Tosca Cake looks amazing!! Have you shared the recipe before? I must have saved 3 almond tart recipes recently and now I need this one too :) Will you care for your chickens again when the weather gets warmer? I love the color of those eggs! You don't even have to color them for Easter. So pretty! I'm thrilled it's March. Three weeks until it's officially spring and two weeks until daylight savings time! Yay!!

A lot of butter but makes all the difference.Pkus you don't eat this in on sitting(seating? )
Great for a dinner party made the day of..but this cake stays moist because of the terrific topping.
You know that whenever you want to make I'll translate if you need help♥
I am always a bit reticent to share gifts because many don't get any..but I don't get many lol so I am sharing♥
Plus the bread was yours too!
    And I am grateful.

I hope our snow is gone by JUne..close to our home back and front..worse because all the snow slides off the metal roof...

    C'est la vie..and it's mine so that's it rght?♥

  14. Your photographs are breathtaking Monique! You got so much more snow than we have had. I had to share your photos with my father. He agrees such a beautiful place. He took the ferry across there once with his camper van. Everything looks so good. The Pizza (my favourite food group also!) the bread, apron, glove . . . what a sweet friend and so sweet of J to model for us! Those pretty eggs, that gorgeous cake. This whole post is a feast for the eyes and the tummy. I have never made a Tosca cake. I need to! xoxo
