Me too M. I've kept every card recieved for years. Christmas cards also... some I've reused for mixed media art work. Recieving love cards daily for Dave now....such treasures. Sweet post. xoxo~Kathy @ Sweet Up-North Mornings...
Handwritten cards are becoming a thing of the past. It's so exciting to open the mail box and find a handwritten note inside. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's like receiving a little present.
It makes me so sad that everything is done by email or text these days. I adore cards and letters...so touching and personal. I went to a funeral this weekend and the sister of the deceased made two albums of all the cards her sister received. And presented them to her sons.
Monique, I'm one of those who keeps cards and personal notes too. I pity the one who will have to clean up my estate after I'm gone. But in the meantime, I'll continue this little habit because I revisit these handwritten notes again and again. Thanks for sharing. ~ sarah
Yeah, yeah, you hit a nerve here! So beautiful and makes me yeartn for somewriting...to receive AND to do! It is the time of year as well...nostalgia cards, letters, notes... Bisous Ronelle

Very sweet post, Monique. It is sad that much communication is done via the electronic means these days.
ReplyDeleteI save them too! When my dad died we found every card we gave him in his desk drawer. All those spiritual bouquets cards from grade school. :)
ReplyDeleteNo wonder we all get along so well..Have a great evening~
