Almond Raisin Crisps~

And yet another little recipe I loved from  the current issue of  Food and Drink..a magazine offered by the LCBO~

Their little leaf shaped almond raisin crisps~

Thin and crispy..very flavorful, perfect for this  fall season~
The current issue's recipes won't appear for a while..so I am just going to post it  directly from my book~
It will be out online soon..you can gather many great recipes from their site~
These are precious.

I used my Silpat instead of parchment paper.

Here you go~

In case you can't make out the recipe..I did check again to see if the recipe was online..and no..not yet..but this video came up..
I thought you might enjoy..it's not me..she's far perkier:)
But toute la recette is there:)

And the book..is a magazine..The Food and Drink:)

And yes that ice cream was the accompaniment:)

I didn't color my dough..at all..
But they are really good..really cute..and fall like~

Bon Weekend~

  1. Hi Monique,
A delightful autumnal nibble! If only these sweet leaves would gently tumble from our wind swept trees...;)
Hope you enjoy a lovely weekend.

  5. Those are so cute, Monique! Perfect to serve with a cup of tea this fall.

(I couldn't find an email address for you so will answer your questions here. I'm moving from an apt. to a house in a small city nearby. A moving company will be packing my dishes and glasses, but I am doing the rest. Slowly. One room a week. Sorting as I go along. Nobody is helping me...only I would know what to pack and what to get rid of.

You can use this mixture in place of pumpkin pie spice if you can't find it: 4 tablespoons ground cinnamon; 4 teaspoons ground nutmeg; 4 teaspoons ground ginger; 3 teaspoons ground allspice.

I have 6 tart rings of one size and another set of increasing sizes. I got them years ago at a store called Bed Bath and Beyond. Have no idea if they still carry them. Use a muffin pan. That way all the sizes will be exactly the same.
I am not giving up the blog. Will probably have a hiatus the middle of November when I actually move and then I am visiting my daughter in NYC for Thanksgiving. So I will pick blogging back up the beginning of December.)

  9. Barbara..thank you for all the info:-) I know what you mean re the packing..I would hold items up to my friend and say...apt..or storage..:-)
She is renting for one yr..so could not bring everything..treasures from France..Ireland. she lived many places..Paris..It was actually an honor to be with her..packing is so personal..
Bon courage as we say Barbara..sounds like a great new adventure..enjoy your visit also..
I am glad I may be encouraging some to make these..they taste like something I have bought..cannot place the brand etc..
the after makes me shudder too...even today..darkish..drizzle..damp.the colors don't shine:-)
