Pasta Al Tonno~

A quick.. easy and delicious meal~

For this Tuna in olive oil is best..
Simply empty the contents..add crushed red chili peppers, garlic, parsley and a bit more evoo if you wish..

Mash a bit..then add the pasta..cooked of your choice.. toss..top with pine nuts.. fresh parsley..and for those of you who can eat cheese with fish(we can) grate some fresh Reggiano on top.

Takes the time it takes to cook the pasta.

For sandwiches I buy tuna in water..but for this I prefer with the oil.
If you are super busy ..you may take a liking to this.
With a side salad..it's pretty well rounded.

  1. Terrific, quick and nutritious (and made with things from the pantry)! What more could we ask for?

And as always, Monique, you make all of your food look so beautifully appetizing. :)

I'm going to make this in the coming week. Merci beaucoup for the inspiration. xo~m

  2. As they say, great minds think alike - LOL! Or, at least we have the same cravings occasionally :) Your tuna and pasta look wonderful. I wouldn't have thought to buy the tuna in oil - bonne idée!

  3. Monique, you make the simplest food look like Haute Cuisine.

Now I'll be craving pasta all day.

  4. Monique, I'd sell my mother for that pasta dish.

I've never been a fan of tuna in water (how do you say, sweaty, cracked leather, in French?). But, tuna in olive oil is worth every fat gram.

I've had relatives stay over for a long (but pleasant) visit, so I've missed a lot, and I'll probably never catch up, but I'm going to try.

Have a great weekend, mon ami.
