Rosemary Shortbreads~

A long long time ago.. on a garden forum..I "met" a charming young woman.. with a nice husband and 2 adorable kids.. Eventually..we even met in person..and we have kept in touch..even though we both have busy lives:)

She called last week and mentioned her Rosemary Shortbread cookies..:)

It's been tea weather these days with snow acculumation again

I thought ..hmm.. I'll make Deb's shortbreads..she had been kind enough to send me photos of her beautiful family..and doggie as well as the recipe~

They're delicious..
The little soupçon of Rosemary is just lovely..

Light as air~

I know she won't mind my sharing~:)

La Recette~

Rosemary Shortbread

Cream butter and sugar. Stir in dry. Roll and cut. 375 for 10 minutes.

I had to share my new teaspoon set..a birthday gift form my daughter~ They will occasionally show up here~
My Notes..I still have the rice flour from my little trip to my Asian shop..so I substituted 1/4 cup w/ that..and I halved the recipe.I baked them a little longer as they were baked in molds..a little thicker than rolled ~
They are delish~

It was Les Gourmandises d'Isa that told me about the company. It is a company that specializes in chocolate and pastry equipment..
Deana..I can send you the template for the recipe card.. I forget the source..perhaps Graphics Fairy but I can send it just say the word:)

  18. I wish I was there in your kitchen to share them with you! I love the fleur de lys...Quebec is close to my heart. Your kind words made my day. Glad they turned out. I bet the rice flour gave them a that nice texture that you usually get with cornstarch. And a good idea for people who want to cut back on wheat flour.
