Is way better than mine~
I always loved mine..
Till I had hers this weekend..It's the same one my other daughter makes:)
I thought hers tasted better too..but she said it was my recipe that M had..
It's not..
It's much moister.
Undeniably so~
I wrote the recipe down on a napkin Sunday and made 2 today..One for us and one for my neighbour/friend~
I love those paper pans you can give as gifts~
I picked at it a lot:(
It really is very very good~
Glad I could give one away:)
The Recipe~
Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sour cream
2 Tablespoons milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
One 6-ounce package of chocolate chips
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Grease and flour a 9-inch tube baking pan. In a medium bowl cream together the sugar and butter..and add eggs until the mixture is light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, combine the sour cream and milk and set aside. Sift together, the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and add alternately with the sour cream mixture until well blended. Fold in the chocolate chips. Spoon half of the batter into the prepared pan. Combine the cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar and sprinkle half of the mixture over the batter. Spoon in the remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon mixture. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

Oh, that looks good, M!
ReplyDeleteMonique, this does sound wonderful and I look forward to trying it. Did you use a pan other than the tube pan to get two cakes?
ReplyDeleteChocolate and cinnamon go so well together...I know I just ate 1/2 loaf of bread in 2 days!
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI used a smaller springform and the paper one.. instead of the large tube pan..I wanted to give the paper one away to my neighbour w/ a serving of pasta sauce for her dinner.
Sorry I should have mentioned that!!!
I made 2 smaller instead of the large one my DD made:)
Thank you>
This looks great, nice and moist! i'll try it and let you know how it works out :)

I think I have that same recipe M. Now, what would happen if you don't use a bunt pan but do it in a regular one instead. The last time I made it when I tried to get it out of the pan it fell apart. It was supposed to be for a party at work. I kept it instead.
ReplyDeleteThis recipe is going on my baking to-do list for Saturday! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone..It is a keeper..
ReplyDeleteA.. you should consider getting a springform pan:) They even have them at Home Goods..It would never fall apart.Usually a Bundt pan is perfect..but this way you could make numerous recipes and never worry:)
