Watching Julie and Julia~

Made me crave this~

I grilled baguette slices w/ olive oil.. rubbed w/ garlic and topped with chopped fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil s and p.. that I had marinating all day..
Oh my goodness.Simple is good too.

There is one scene in the movie when Julie(Amy) makes this for dinner one night and I could have taken a bite out of the big screen~

Saved my craving for tonight~

  5. I'm a firm believer in the idea that food doesn't have to be complicated to taste good. Often it is the simplest things that taste the best of all. Great looking bruschetta!

  10. Yum, Monique! Thanks for putting the idea in my head. We've got tomatoes ready to pick on the vine just out the backdoor. I'm off to play catch up a little this afternoon with your blog. My daughter goes back to school late next week and then things get back to normal (whatever that is!).
    Happy weekend to you!

  11. I also loved the movie - seen it twice already. It's what us older women need to encourage younger women to do - reclaim the beauty and power from cooking in their kitchens! You do that well, btw.

Yup, wanted to sit down for dinner with Julie and her hubs...that looked amazing and I'll make it very soon...
